A Little bit about me...

Hi i'm Lucy! 

 

I am a professional singer and acoustic guitarist based in Southampton, Hampshire.

I'm not usually one for writing about myself but these things have to be done when you decide to take the plunge and go self employed!

 

So here goes..

 

I've been singing for as long as I can remember (it all began when my grandad brought me the Disney singalong video of Mulan) and I started playing the guitar when I was about 13. I trained at The London School of Musical Theatre for a year where I graduated with a High Merit diploma and then I moved onto The Academy of Contemporary Music In Guildford, where I graduated with a 1st Class BA (Hons) Degree in Vocals in 2018.

Since then I have been singing/playing at numerous weddings and events as a soloist and as part of two different function bands across the UK & beyond. I sing a variety of genres and styles but when it's just me and my trusty acoustic guitar I specialise in folk, country and pop. I always like to put my own spin on the songs that I play and make them my own.

I love chocolate, a nice cup of tea and a good book - which means i'm basically an 80 year old lady in a 28 year old's body. Strangely enough I am a massive introvert but manage to appear the opposite when performing (which is very handy).
